Arc-en-Ciel’ is perhaps one of the most unusual hardy water lilies and is known for its rare lily pads, having blotches of bronze, white, rose, and purple scattered on the deep green pads. The name means rainbow in French.

Its sweetly-scented flowers are pale salmon-pink in color, shading to white. The sepals are rose splashed.

Growing Conditions:
Full Sun. USDA Zone 3-11
Flower size: 6"-8" Height above water: 2"-4" Lily pad size: 8"-10" Plant spread: 4'-5'
Hybridized By:
The plant was introduced by the famous French hybridizer Marliac in 1901, however decades later it was lost to the trade. Our good friend and water lily expert Walter Pagels found this very lily in an obscure place during a visit in Japan. Thanks to Walter we are able to continue to offer such a rare water lily from his finding.

Nymphaea odorata

Spring Shipping Schedule: Preorder Season Expected Ship Dates

This is the expected shipping weeks for preorder season that is about December through April. Plants cannot be shipped until they are strong enough for transit and the weather from Ohio to you is warm enough so that the lifeforms can survive overnight stops. If the spring weather is sunny and warm in northern Ohio, then some plants may ship earlier. If the spring weather has a lot of storms, cloudy weather and is cool, then some plants need a tad more time to get strong enough for transit.
