The cup-shaped blossoms of this water lily display a vibrant amaranth red hue and measure 10″ – 12″ in diameter. In comparison to other night bloomers, its pads are relatively small. This particular water lily begins blooming early in the season. It is often regarded as the most brilliantly colored water lily currently cultivated. Named after the wife of the secretary of Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, Missouri, the ‘Emily Grant Hutchings’ water lily is a stunning red hybrid.

With its vibrant amaranth red hue, the blossoms of this “Ellisiana’ water lily are truly captivating. These cup-shaped flowers are quite large, measuring an impressive 10″ – 12” in diameter. Unlike other night bloomers, this water lily has relatively small pads. However, what it lacks in pad size, it more than makes up for in its early blooming season. This particular water lily is known for being one of the most brilliantly colored varieties currently cultivated, making it a favorite among water lily enthusiasts.
