The ‘Giant Arrowhead’ is mainly found in water, but it can also be seen growing near the borders of ponds in shallow, temporary water, and sometimes in muddy areas influenced by tides. This perennial plant has leaves that can grow as tall as 1 to 3 feet. Its beautiful flowers blossom from June until September.

Description
The Giant Arrowhead is a unique plant with leaves that can reach heights of 1 to 3 feet. It is a perennial monocot that grows from rhizomes. The leaves initially grow underwater and gradually emerge, forming arrowhead shapes that point towards the sky. It almost always occur in wetlands (Considered OBL, Obligate Wetland).
The dimensions of the leaves can differ, ranging up to 11 inches long and 9 inches wide, depending on the growing conditions. The petals, measuring approximately 1 inch, are cream to white in color and arranged in whorls, often featuring burgundy spots at their bases. These beautiful flowers bloom from June to September and are pollinated by insects.
The ‘Giant Arrowhead’ is primarily a water plant, but it can also be spotted along the edges of ponds in shallow, temporary water, and occasionally in muddy areas affected by tides. This versatile plant is widespread across North and South America, including various regions such as New England, the Middle Atlantic States, the southeastern states, Michigan, and California.
