Description
Green Hygrophila Oxygenating Plant, corymbosa ‘Stricta’, commonly referred to as the Broad-leaf Temple Plant, is a robust and rapidly growing aquarium and pond plant native to Southeast Asia. With its light-green stems and tall, elongated leaves, this species is particularly well-suited for beginners. It thrives in the background of aquariums or the bottom of a pond where it can create a lush, dense growth. The plant requires medium to high light levels and a nutrient-rich substrate to flourish, and it may exhibit reddish tones when exposed to brighter lighting conditions. Regular pruning is essential to maintain its bushy appearance and promote healthy growth.
This adaptable Green Hygrophila Oxygenating Plant can thrive at various water depths, providing shelter for fish and other aquatic life when grown underwater. When planted at the water’s edge, it can develop into a striking bush that produces bell-shaped blue or pink flowers. Due to its height and spread, Hygrophila corymbosa ‘Stricta’ is best positioned in the mid-to-background of larger aquariums. To keep the plant submerged and bushy, regular trimming of the tops is recommended, and cuttings can easily be replanted to propagate new growth.
| Preferred Growing Conditions | 8+ hrs/day direct sunlight. |

The table below shows the estimated shipping and pick-up weeks for destinations to USA states. These dates can change depending on weather and how strong the plants are at that time.
For example, a wet spring will have many clouds leading to less sunshine. Thus, the plants may need a bit longer to grow strong enough for transplanting and transit. With the planet heating up, a warm spring may help the plants grow strong enough to ship before the dates in this table.
