Appearance

This trio of pygmy water lilies are on the relaxing blue spectrum. The pads are solid green for a subtle appearance.

Preferred Growing Conditions

2+ hrs/day direct sunlight. More is better.
Excellent for smaller water garden ponds or a couple tub or large pot gardens.
If planting individually, select a container that can hold at least 2 gallons of water. You can either add soil to the container to plant the lilies or pot each lily in its own pot and place it in the water.

Hybridized By

'Dauben': 1863 by Dr. Charles Daubeny. It was introduced to the U.S. by William Tricker in 1912 and has been a favorite water lily since its introduction.

Awards

'Dauben': The water lily was awarded the Silver Medal at the Newport Horticultural Society in September of 1912.
