From the first bloom to the last of the growing season, the Leopardess Tropical Water Lily offers vibrant color and a delightful fragrance, making it a must-have for tropical water garden enthusiasts.
Striking Mottled Foliage
One of the most unique features of the Leopardess Tropical Water Lily is its deep green leaves, boldly spotted and striped with maroon. This dramatic mottling is among the most striking of all tropical water lily varieties. Additionally, the foliage adds year-round interest, providing a beautiful backdrop even when the flowers are not in bloom.
Abundant Fragrant Flowers
The Leopardess Tropical Water Lily is an easy-to-grow tropical variety that produces abundant aromatic flowers throughout the growing season. Its medium-sized cobalt-blue blossoms hover elegantly above the water, creating a vivid contrast with the mottled foliage. As a result, it provides both visual appeal and fragrance for ponds, tubs, or container gardens.
Perfect Pairings for Your Water Garden
For an extraordinary display, pair the Leopardess Tropical Water Lily with the Pink Sapphire Water Lily, introduced in 2014. The contrasting cobalt and pink flowers, along with their heavily mottled pads, create a breathtaking effect. The table below shows the estimated shipping and pick-up weeks for destinations to USA states. These dates can change depending on weather and how strong the plants are at that time.
For example, a wet spring will have many clouds leading to less sunshine. Thus, the plants may need a bit longer to grow strong enough for transplanting and transit. With the planet heating up, a warm spring may help the plants grow strong enough to ship before the dates in this table.
