Description

The Antares night-blooming water lily adds bold contrast and dramatic beauty to any water garden. From the first evening bloom, this striking variety captures attention with its deep red petals and commanding presence. As daylight fades, Antares opens slowly, revealing rich color that glows against dark water and surrounding foliage.

Unlike day-blooming varieties, the Antares night-blooming water lily performs after sunset. As dusk arrives, the flower rises confidently above the water and becomes the focal point of the pond. Because of this unique blooming habit, it brings life and movement to water gardens during the evening hours. Pond owners who enjoy nighttime patios, lighting, or moonlit gardens will especially appreciate its impact.

In addition to its dramatic blooms, Antares produces strong and healthy lily pads. The pads spread evenly across the pond’s surface and provide essential shade. As a result, they help reduce algae growth and maintain more stable water temperatures. At the same time, fish benefit from added shelter beneath the foliage, which supports a healthier pond ecosystem.

Moreover, the Antares night-blooming water lily thrives in warm, sunny conditions and establishes quickly when planted at the proper depth. With adequate sunlight, it blooms consistently throughout the growing season. Therefore, it works well as a centerpiece plant or as part of a nighttime water lily collection.

Additionally, the deep red coloration pairs beautifully with lighter stone edging, soft landscape lighting, and reflective water surfaces. This contrast enhances the atmosphere of the garden and creates a calm yet dramatic evening setting.

Overall, the Antares night-blooming water lily stands out as a true evening showpiece. Its intense color, reliable night blooms, and strong growth make it an exceptional choice for pond enthusiasts seeking something unique. Add Antares to your water garden and experience how it transforms the pond after sunset.

The table below shows the estimated shipping and pick-up weeks for destinations to USA states. These dates can change depending on weather and how strong the plants are at that time.

For example, a wet spring will have many clouds leading to less sunshine. Thus, the plants may need a bit longer to grow strong enough for transplanting and transit. With the planet heating up, a warm spring may help the plants grow strong enough to ship before the dates in this table.
