Description

The Delicatissima water lily is prized for its refined beauty and reliable performance. This elegant variety produces soft carmine pink flowers that bring a gentle, romantic tone to ponds and water gardens. Each bloom opens with balanced symmetry and a smooth petal structure, creating a polished appearance that stands out without overpowering surrounding plants.

The foliage adds another layer of appeal. The pads display a subtle bronze-green sheen that catches the light throughout the day. This coloration complements the pink blooms and provides visual interest even when the plant is not in flower. As the pads mature, they spread evenly across the water’s surface and help create natural shade.

Gardeners value the Delicatissima water lily for its versatility. It performs well in a wide range of pond settings and adapts easily to controlled environments. Many growers choose this variety for cutting due to its strong stems and long-lasting blooms. The flowers hold their shape and color well, making them an excellent option for floral arrangements and decorative displays.

This water lily also excels in winter cultivation. Its growth habit responds well to indoor or greenhouse conditions, allowing growers to enjoy blooms outside of the traditional outdoor season. This reliability makes it a favorite among professional growers and water garden enthusiasts alike.

In addition to its ornamental value, the Delicatissima water lily supports overall pond health. Its foliage helps regulate sunlight penetration and provides shelter for aquatic life. When planted alongside other aquatic plants, it contributes to a balanced and visually pleasing pond ecosystem.

Whether used for cutting, winter growing, or as a centerpiece in a water garden, the Delicatissima water lily delivers consistent beauty and dependable performance. Add this classic variety to your collection and enjoy its timeless color and elegant form throughout the season.

The table below shows the estimated shipping and pick-up weeks for destinations to USA states. These dates can change depending on weather and how strong the plants are at that time.

For example, a wet spring will have many clouds leading to less sunshine. Thus, the plants may need a bit longer to grow strong enough for transplanting and transit. With the planet heating up, a warm spring may help the plants grow strong enough to ship before the dates in this table.
