Item # 10-5101

$12.99

This ‘Floating Fern’ floats on the surface of the water with a dense rosette of leaves. The leaves have a wavy margin and are egg-shaped to triangular and can have 3 to 5 lobes.

The plants are easily propagated because they form plantlets on many of the leaves. The feathery roots hang down 8 or 9 inches into the water and provide a spawning medium for fish and a place for the fry to hide.

Description

The ‘Floating Fern’ is a water plant that floats on the surface with a cluster of dense leaves. These leaves have a wavy edge and come in egg-shaped to triangular shapes, sometimes with 3 to 5 lobes. The table below shows the estimated shipping and pick-up weeks for destinations to USA states. These dates can change depending on weather and how strong the plants are at that time.

For example, a wet spring will have many clouds leading to less sunshine. Thus, the plants may need a bit longer to grow strong enough for transplanting and transit. With the planet heating up, a warm spring may help the plants grow strong enough to ship before the dates in this table.
