The pH of the water determines the acidic or alkaline (basic) properties of your pond. Fish do best in neutral water that is neither too acidic nor too alkaline. Excessively high or low pH may be directly responsible for death from secondary causes (i.e. parasitic infections). Extreme pH changes will irritate the skin and gills of the fish.
UltraClear Buffer Block will stabilize the pH and increase water hardness and alkalinity in your pond. Low or no buffering capacity (low alkalinity & calcium carbonates) causes the pH of the pond to become unstable resulting in wide swings of the pH.
UltraClear Buffer Block adds essential calcium needed for healthy fish bone growth. It also enhances the growth and survival of beneficial bacteria for a healthy, beautiful pond. Great for snails!
INSTRUCTIONS: Large Buffer Block treats ponds up to 2000 gallons. Place the Buffer Block in the main water flow of the skimmer, filter or waterfall. The large container lasts up to 3 weeks. Replace the block when dissolved.

This liquid formulation contains the “good” bacteria that are necessary for the nitrogen cycle that keeps your water garden pool in ecological balance. These nonpathogenic (safe) bacteria will consume nutrients that cause excess algae and restores water purity and seed a new biological filter. Reduces ammonia and nitrite levels. These natural bacteria will also consume large amounts of phosphate.

Use routinely in the water garden pool or pond to keep the water clear. Use routinely if an algicide such as GreenClean is in use.

UltraClear® SST is a Super Strength (SST) biological treatment for clarifying ponds from top to bottom. It is more than twice the strength of the regular UltraClear® and contains a special additional blend of natural bacteria. Digests organic sediment, eliminates odor, and is safe for fish and wildlife. Especially effective for control of many types of algae and string algae. Also exceptionally good for use to restore the ecology of the pool water after using a fast acting algacide such as GreenClean on severe string algae problems. Use 1 ounce for every 150 gallons of pond volume. (Example, Pond volume = 600 gallons, then 600/150 = 4 ounces).

UltraClear® Autumn Prep is a blend of pelleted probiotics (good bacteria) for the treatment of ponds to maintain a clean, healthy, balanced water and fish health during the coming colder months beginning in Autumn. These pellets provide the continued activity to breakdown organic muck from decayed aquatic vegetation, autumn leaves, grass clippings, excess food and fish wastes that have accumulated in the pond. These pellet will reduce spring cleanup. 100% fish safe, for all aquatic life, wildlife and pets. They are 100% biological and are NOT toxic chemicals.
DOSAGE: Begin when water temperatures fall below 55 degrees. Use 3 pellets per 100 gallons or 30 pellets per 1000 gallons. Treat weekly until pond freezes. For lakes and large ponds use 3 cups per quarter acre. 0.75 lbs about 700 pellets. 5 lbs approx 12 cups of pellets.
