Hybridized By: In 1893 William Tricker introduced this lovely hybrid. This water lily was proudly introduced at the 1893 Chicago’s World Fair, also known as the Chicago Colombian Exposition.

This tropical water lily, known as ‘Charles Tricker’, showcases abundant magenta red blossoms and possesses dark coppery green pads.


This hybrid free blooming tropical water lily with crimson flowers and pale green leaves.
Plant and maintain as for all tropical water lilies. The plants are viviparous with moderate growth and well adapted to tub culture for use in small pools. It grows well in semi-shaded areas.
This is one of Tricker’s special water lilies that has been enjoyed for decades! It’s a rare beauty!


The ‘Pink Perfection’ has a rich pink color and is very fragrant. The blossoms are high above the water’s surface and can grow to 8″ diameter. It’s blossoms can stay open in late afternoon long after others have closed. This is a prolific bloomer and quite vigorous throughout the season.
It’s pads are heavily variegated with a red coloring underneath. Look closely in the photograph and see the attractive flowers and mottled leaves, the perfection of a pink flowered water lily!


The ‘Frank Trelease’ water lily displays large vibrant crimson petals. In ancient texts, this particular water lily was referred to as the ‘Iridescent’ water lily due to its captivating color that becomes more pronounced at dusk.

This ‘Mrs. Robert Sawyer’ waterlily is known as the first pink tropical water lily of the viviparous type — all others at that time being blue. This was proudly cited in the William Tricker 1927 mail order catalog as “This lily has a gorgeous, full petaled flower much larger than other viviparous types, and it surpasses all other pink tropical lilies in depth of coloring.”
The plant is vigorous in growth and free flowering. The plant does well in semi-shaded conditions.

This tropical water lily blooms heavily and continually for many months and well into the fall when other water lilies have gone dormant.
