Wow! For a flashy, eye-catching splash in your water garden, you’ve got to check out this exotic Variegated Cattail with striped light green and white leaves. It can reach up to 5-ft tall and will make a fabulous backdrop to your outdoor pond. The hardy Variegated Cattail is a broadleaf cattail.

Benefits	Provides fish and other aquatic animals a nice habitat. Birds may nest on the foliage. Roots are consumed by muskrats. Excellent water filtration.
Appearance	Flowers: Long catkins that turn brown with age. Leaves: tall and narrow.
Size	5-ft to 7-ft tall. 1-ft – 1.5-ft spread.
Preferred Growing Conditions	6+ hours/day of direct sunlight. Moist soil with 6" water. Overwinter well in cool water and tolerate freezing temperatures. USDA Zone: 3-11.
