Hybridized By: In 1893 William Tricker introduced this lovely hybrid. This water lily was proudly introduced at the 1893 Chicago’s World Fair, also known as the Chicago Colombian Exposition.
The ‘Pink Perfection’ has a rich pink color and is very fragrant. The blossoms are high above the water’s surface and can grow to 8″ diameter. It’s blossoms can stay open in late afternoon long after others have closed. This is a prolific bloomer and quite vigorous throughout the season.
It’s pads are heavily variegated with a red coloring underneath. Look closely in the photograph and see the attractive flowers and mottled leaves, the perfection of a pink flowered water lily!
The mesmerizing ‘Red Flare’ Water Lily is a nocturnal beauty that enchants with its vibrant colors. As the sun sets, this captivating perennial reveals its deep red hue, creating a stunning contrast against the darkening sky. The petals are deep pink and pointed showing both characteristic water lilies in admiration. This is considered an outstanding variety that grows excellent blossoms.

This ‘Independence’ water lily is a viviparous hybrid with aromatic blossoms that are rich pink, medium size, and extremely abundant. The lily pads are green shaded with brownish red.
Being a compact grower, it’s adaptable to tub gardens or large pools.
This will make excellent cut flowers for indoors.
The plant is vigorous in growth and free flowering. The plant does well in semi-shaded conditions.
The cup-shaped blossoms of this water lily display a vibrant amaranth red hue and measure 10″ – 12″ in diameter. In comparison to other night bloomers, its pads are relatively small. This particular water lily begins blooming early in the season. It is often regarded as the most brilliantly colored water lily currently cultivated. Named after the wife of the secretary of Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, Missouri, the ‘Emily Grant Hutchings’ water lily is a stunning red hybrid.
‘Evelyn Randig’ water lily was introduced by Martin Randig in 1931. The fragrant blossoms are a deep magenta rose color and deliciously fragrant. Leaves are deep green attractively spotted with chestnut and purple. The variegated leaves do much to make this a very popular water lily.
This ‘Mrs. C. W. Ward’ water lily has large blossoms with pointed rose pink petals. The golden yellow stamens tipped with pink may grow 15″ above the water’s surface depending on growing conditions.
The characteristic sepals bend down towards your water garden pond surface having a beautiful reflection. The flowers can grow high above your smaller water lilies as the sepals bend down as it proudly shows off the beauty of her petals.

Castaliflora is a 1913 George Pring of the Missouri Botanical Garden hybrid that has flowers of light pink. Stamens are yellow with pink anthers. Leaves are green above and shaded pink below. An outstanding variety of water lily that has a most unusual pink coloration.
This ‘Peach Blow’ water lily has multiple gorgeous pink petals flushed with a contrasting wonderful yellow. This was on the cover of Tricker’s 1947 catalog! ENJOY a true flower of history!
